TAIWAN:

I intend to strongly support Taiwanese self-determination, free from coercion by the Red Chinese Communists of Mainland China.

Like it or not, ultimately we will confront the Red Chinese in a crucial battle for survival of The American Dream. Either they will win financially if we continue down our current path of fiscal profligacy; or we will be engaged in a military show-down with them at some point. We will need friends and bases in places like Taiwan, N. Korea & Japan to win this existential encounter.

We must therefore continue to support our Taiwanese friends both as a matter of principle and from a perspective of U.S. self-interest.
