8/15/2010 ~ Today I visited The Christian Center Church, in Homosassa, FL.
I was on a really tight and crazy schedule when I visited The Christian Center
Church in Homosassa, FL this Sunday.
I had been to a speaking event in Pace, Florida up north of Pensacola the day
before, returned to FWB to collect Les; and then we drove straight down to
mid-Florida on Friday night. We got as far as Chiefland (where we had attended
another event only two days previously) before we had to hit the hay.
This Sunday, 15th. August we were due in Pinellas county for an event in the
Tampa-St. Pete area, early in the afternoon; and we were pressed for time. So we
couldn't just wait around in Chiefland for an 11 O'clock service. We had to get
driving early and then stop for church along the way.
We found this service in the nick of time. I snapped a few outdoors shots and
joined the friendly congregation for a lively celebration.
I was greeted by a West Indian lady who introduced me to the ushers. Then I
listened to a lot of great music before bailing out somewhat early to make
Pinellas Park in time. (Although we almost missed our speaking slot there due
to getting lost further south!)
But that's another story ~ see the campaign event of this date. Now let's
enjoy some music!
